The way I look at it, RPRA members have 4 options regarding the situation with the RPRA
1. Accept things as they are
2.Try to change things by using the required procedures, remember this requires effort and no one is going to do it for you
3.Carry on moaning and do nothing
4 Resign
I don’t think I’ve missed any other credible option

I respect your answers to what you think should be done by listing the above, which in my opinion is the reason why the RPRA is on it's arse.
Hiding behind archaic rules from decades ago, not fit for purpose then use these out of date rules to block time & time again any proposed reform only to be blocked even if it gets to an AGM & as the saying goes turkey's don't vote for Christmas.

I am afraid that the reform has started and yes, I am at the forefront of some of it.
I hope that with such an eloquent manner, that you might come on board with it as well and lets bring about the change that our sport desperately needs.
I'd be interested to learn about the reform, how it is to be brought about and how you are at the forefront.
Bowbroom, there are a group prominent fanciers with alot more savvy than me who have spent the summer re-writing the rules regarding the regions, generally doing away with them along with the council. At the forefront of it all is an ex CEO namely Ian Evans.
This group of ppl have put together a document with all thethe proposed changes on it and are relying now on ppl like me and my club to put this forward to the region.
This has all come about from discussions from the old version of pigeon chat to which I believe you were involved. I recall that your contribution was much the same as it is now, generally saying that nothing will get done because everyone is too lethargic.
Well, my friend, you were wrong and this is actually happening now!
So now Bowbroom, I'd like to think that you will also get on board with it along with others looking in on this post,
as with this document in place, we all have an opportunity to bring about the change that are necessary to save our once great union from falling into oblivion by bringing it into the 21st century.

Dave I admire these fanciers for what they are trying to do, but it won't matter how proactive or lethargic fanciers are, the RPRA will not accept reform. It now doesn't need to listen to anybody. It got the rise in subs it needed to maintain the status quo.
