Over the past few months we seen a change in the forum, new members joining from another forum closing down. A new Integration of people coming together, and still being able to enjoy the sport we love. Over time sharing of information, having some banter between other members and also. Different points of view on different subjects, and yes some members may disagree. On different subjects, constructive disagreement may take place, at times but i would say as long as it is constructive it helps.

I would like to see all members enjoying the site, and keeping the sport moving forward,. But most of all enjoying the forum, please remember this forum may be the only communication that some members may have. Please remember, the forum is only has good as its members. We are all different but equal. so let us enjoy what we have left of a great sport.

Very well said, Devo.
The forum has had an injection of fresh blood which has been terrific. I think the most important thing is that we all remember that we all have different experiences and opinions, which we are free to share.
At the same time we do well to take care how we express our views. Respect for the other members has always been central on this forum. Let's not forget that.
There is some great discussion going on at the moment. I really enjoy it. :D
Greetings from the land down under. :D

As individuals we're bonded by our love and passion for pigeons

We're all built differently though - some have a burning passion to win and succeed; whilst others are a tad more relaxed

So when these approaches collide, that's when there's increased likelihood for differences of opinion

Now, take me.

I haven't got it in me to congratulate someone on being 150ypm behind in a race.

I could say it sure, but I wouldn't be being true to myself if I did that because that's a result that would offend me mortally.

To me that's like limping home

So, I look for areas of improvement and suggestions to improve

It's not designed to offend (believe me I can offend if the cards fall that way) but if offence is taken then, honestly, my conscience is clear because it comes from a good place

Difference of opinion are always going to be there as that what makes the sport so enjoyable as there is no right or wrong way to do anything, folks do what suits them, me I was bottom of the sheet most weeks but you know what, I probably got more enjoyment from it than the ones top of it as no pressures on me or the birds to perform week in week out then get a strop if moving down the sheet, I did take a fair few cards and they were just a bonus the real pleasure was watching them come home after being prepared, showed was doing some thing right

Sometime what we write comes over offensive and that is the issue whether we mean it or not folks need to think or put another way brain into gear before hitting the keyboard, we all read and interpret things differently

We are indeed built very differently

What p!sses me off is being told my way isn't the right way by someone that can't fly a kite on a windy day

I agree Buster. The racing side is a very small part of our sport. I will go into more detail when I eventually get the time to reply to Neil’s question about my breeding method and aims.
A big part of the sport is the friends made and the enjoyment we get from keeping these wonderful creatures.
This forum has been a great place to exchange our different views over the years. Long may it continue.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
