The Southcoast Federation birds were liberated from Exeter (137mls to me) at 7.15am in a light West, South West wind. The Littlehampton club had 18 members sending around 300 birds, I had 12 away myself. The wind was quite blustery in my garden with more West than South in it, I thought they could be doing 60mph today so was hoping for one around the 2hr mark. My first bird arrived just after 9.30 doing 1738ypm, just under 60mph which I was pretty happy with although I did think that some birds could easily be doing nearer 2000ypm. Well this turned out to be the case with the winner, Mr Dave Maxey doing 1926ypm so well done to him. We had a nice split result today with 4 different members taking the top 6 places, Dave Maxey 1st, Browne & Wickenden 2nd 1924ypm, Alan Akmenkalns 3rd 1908ypm, Gregory & Virgo 4th 1898ypm with Alan Akemenkalns also taking 5th & 6th. I was the 10th of 18 members to clock in 40th place on 1738ypm.
I had 9 of my 12 home this evening, the 3 missing have all been further so I am hoping they will turn up tomorrow 🤞
Well done to all our members, on to next week now, Wadebridge in another Amalgamation race.

Well done, Trev.
Great to see you are getting very good returns week after week. The birds are obviously well.
There are just about as many behind you as in front of you again, so you are well in there.
Greetings from the land down under. :D
