Bendigo Invitation club had 2 races today.
First one was just over 100 km, A youngster I gave to a bloke was his clock bird, he was 5th not far off the pace in a slow race.
Second race was 180 km, and my mate David won it with one of mine, also a tough race, several had no birds by clock off.
Both of those pigeons are by my young Heremans stock cock, Road Runner. He's by David's super star breeder, Hawkeye, and I think he's going to be a super breeder himself.

I was out cutting and screwing wood for the cat enclosure for the cottage today. I had the drop saw out and was chopping up timber. The old cockatoo was pottering around and a couple of his mates came in too.
They were having a feed and took no notice of the scream of the drop saw and me drilling and screwing bits together

We are working flat out now preparing to move to St Arnaud. After months of not much happening we are now on a time line,
My good mate David is gathering things up at his freight depot in Bendigo.
We were talking about the breeding season coming, and one pigeon came up.
Last year he was on the other side of the country, in Perth, for his daughter's basketball competition. For a week or so I was caring for his pigeons, and selected a team to go to the big combine race. He won it He was very pleased and kept telling me I won the combine
Anyway, on the phone, he said to me, there's a pair of youngsters on the floor in the end section.
Yes, I said.
Take one, he said. So I took the pied hen.
Yesterday I asked him what the young hen was off.
He told me.

Well come on, tell us what the pied hen is from? Its good to hear things are moving on for you both.
