Not sure exactly what velocity closes race. Longer fliers won't be down to 400ypm for while yet.

That’s a good point
What do you think went wrong goose
The high temperature at the lib or the strong west wind ?
We had a strong west out of Berwick only 300 miles the club had 7 reported in Holland and Germany and I fear how many never made land
they must have missed Norfolk even though it sticks out to sea

To be honest I hadn't paid that much attention to the lib or weather on route so couldn't comment. Clearly something has gone wrong. I don't know if it's just me but looking at lot of organisations there doesn't seem to be too many 'good' races over 500 miles since we've been able to go back into France? Like I say it could be just me but I do tend to keep an eye on all the longer organisations races and to me there haven't been many good ones. Why God knows. Can't be the weather every time.

The race closes at 220 ypm. It's a long way from closed yet for many. And the further you fly the longer it will stay open.

This is an outstanding performance given the returns in the race. This bird could have taken twice as long to reach home and still been in race time!

I'm sure there will be more birds home than are showing. When I look at the prov result it's only fanciers first birds now getting added or the very long flyers. Mark Gilbert surely must have more than 3/70 now.
