I scrape out at least once a day but not worried about them coming into contact with droppings. They need to build up immunity. I don’t treat for anything so they have to have a good immune system. If any go sick they either recover or die here.

I quite agree.
I like a clean loft, but I never use any disinfectants or anything. I use the scraper and brush all the time, but it is as much for me as the pigeons.
Where I live it often gets pretty warm, like mid to high 30's, and by letting the birds out and leaving the door open the warm breeze soon dries the loft out bone dry.
