I know yours is probably different but I have been poorly for the last 3 weeks. I haven’t had any taste or smell since the start. I slept nearly all day Monday and a good part of Tuesday. Roxanna has been doing the shop. But today she is also very poorly so she stayed at home while I ran the shop. Trouble is we can’t afford to not be open. We did do Covid tests which were negative. We are just feeling so weak and tired with our whole bodies aching. I think it’s probably flu as there is a lot going around and it does seem that it takes a long time to shift. Haven’t felt so ill since having the flu back in the 80s. Trouble is we aren’t getting any younger.

This flu going round now we have had for over a month and granddaughter as soon as it starts going she comes back hard with it and been like that for about 6 weeks now, yesterday she not to bad today burning up and coughing and spluttering again, get well soon mate and Roxanna

So sorry to see this mate, sorry to see your plans go out the window really gutting after all the work and plans you made is all I can say except to say I hope your health improves and they find a suitable treatment, and stay on site mate as I am sure taking part is better than nothing

After my visit to my consultant, it is very clear i will not be able to take part in the sport. So things have took a turn on my health, so my plans for website and buying of any birds. Have all gone out the window, time to call it a day, even my trip to Germany i will have to cancel. The medication and side effects wont let it happen. Feeling so weak at present among other problems. Thank you to all the members.

Could you not still continue with your plan of entering the one loft races mate ??
I get that having birds your self is looking like being a no go, as is going on loft visits, but could you not continue with your website plan and your search for birds online ??
You still have a lot of experience and knowledge to share mate so I hope you can continue to get some pleasure from doing that for now

All went ok with the scan, the radiologist will send his report to my GP but did say that he couldn't see anything untoward

Good to see things going the right way Dev and OLR will fulfil a lot of things for you, sure there was some issues with that one last year or year before think was to do with prize money not being paid out, please don't take my word as I am not 100% just do your homework as I'm sure you will

Yes Buster you are right, the loft is now run with a new Manger and team, There is a new limit of 1800 birds in the loft. So i feel it will be better run. if not this one. I will look at the Mira OLR Portugal.
In the mean time i will see how the German classic OLR goes. Something to look forward too.

Are you still going to be sending to the OLR you have already entered Devo.

Yes Andy, i still have a team of 5 youngsters going to the German classic OLR. My mate is sorting it all out for me.
