I have fed a bit of hormoform in the past when they are feeding young but haven’t for a few years. Decided to get some this year and started using it 3 days ago. I just put a bit in a galley pot once a day in the morning. They go made for it but don’t they get in a mess lol.
Feeding hormoform .
I’m only going to use it while breeding. But yes you can certainly tell, especially with white birds and in the droppings lol.

The birds that are feeding young ove the last few days are going made for it when I feed them in the morning. I have been feeding it in old clay pots that had pickstones in. The trouble is that I think the clay absorbed some of the oils and as the birds fight to get it they have been rubbing their heads around on the inside of the pots. I have changed the pots today for plastic ones hoping that this will help. I won’t be able to race birds looking like this lol.
It’s only the ones that are feeding that are really going for it. You can see those that are and those that aren’t lol.

It makes a mess alright!
Still it's only on the outside, it will wash off or wear off, I hope.
