Just heard that this years vet visits for channel racing will be due soon.. I won’t be bothering with this. being told by someone who had theirs last year that they are due to have theirs done in October. Being told that instead of £45 paid last year this year it’s going to cost £60 for 10 members going together in one day. With less races expected and less marking stations it’s going to make a lot more people pull out of the national clubs. Always said it was going to be a license to print money for the vets.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

I'm afraid Vets have always had that Andy especially with all these rip off insurances.
It was £60 each this year based on 10 visits, the vet was £600 a day and was looking to do 10 -15 members depending on how close together they were. Considering he travelled here from Wiltshire I didn't think it was too bad to be honest.
I didn't do it in the end but will stay registered just to give me options !! I think those avid channel racers will continue to do so but I do agree and think a lot of fanciers will pull out, I think the lack of marking stations is the biggest hassle especially with the BICC. Hopefully more federations will continue to turn North and we will see the likes of the NRCC become more accessible.
