Miracle Ace has finished breeding now I believe, the son I have from him is from 2013, he is still breeding but does miss a few eggs now and then.

Re: Your thoughts?

That's them Mike. Rockefeller is a beautiful pigeon he was also a gutsy bird, he returned badly hawked from Narbonne but still put up a credible performance. The son I have off Miracle Ace is a lovely looking chap till you handle him, then not so nice.

Re: Compass training

I was taught by a fantastic flyer you need your team to be driving the batch home like a train if there middle or back there going where the driving batch is going, that's how u get the big drops 75 to 90 percent of team on drop race day. You would never get those sort of drops in our combine. Even...

Re: Compass training

I really enjoy reading different fanciers methods and it just goes to show there is no single way. I think much of it depends on the area the birds are flying too, narrow corridor fed or a fed that covers two or three counties. I can fly mine in two feds, one is a relatively narrow area the other mu...

Re: Feeding racers once a day

Feed once a day or twice a day makes zero difference, same with exercise flying them once or twice a day makes no difference once fit. Must of been 2020 the cocks looked in great shape flying really well, and when I basketed them for Poitiers 455miles I really thought they'd be about. I also entere...

Re: Are Your Pigeons Too Heavy For The Race?

It all sounds very complicated to me  I don't believe anyone can handle a pigeon and know it's at it's perfect racing weight. It's easy to tell if they've over weigh, but just like people their Ideal weigh is going to be based on their size, and will be within a window of a few grames either si...

Re: what do you look for?

Research on the sellers and the birds they have, i bought 5 youngsters in Germany to send to German classic OLR. So i then took a trip to Germany to check the youngsters out. While there i checked the Health of the birds in the loft. Looking at all the droppings around the lofts. Their nutrition an...
