I agree with you Murray. What I would expect to get is 50% left and 50% right. A lot of these theories have no logic to them.

I wouldn’t say that George, just think that there are always exceptions to any rule and with breeding you can only get the genes that the parents have. By crossing genes you are unlikely to get anything in between the two. You will get one or the other.
Testing is the real way of proving whether it’s racing or breeding ability.

Murray no relation to the WIGGLES I like the Blue Wiggle , only time I’ve noticed a bird Wiggle is just before it Poos & that is about every 20 minutes ,observation is a Wonderfully thing ,they can also do it when coming off the nest ,cheers

was it Charles Darwin that said if you cross a large pigeon with a small pigeon you will get large and small ybs

I don't know. A lot of things which Darwin is supposed to have said, are not always accurately recorded. He has been credited with saying a lot of things which he never said. It's a topic for another thread. :D

However,that is correct, if you cross a large animal and a small one, hoping to breed a medium sized one, you will probably fail.

he was a fancier but he was using peas to explain his point i'm sure all his papers are stored here in Oxford must visit the building one day
