When I was checking in the loft during the morning I found a blue hen in there. I thought not another stray, had 4 in this last week already lol. On picking her up and checking the ETS ring that had a phone sticker on I realised it was my number. I then checked the ring number, 200!! This is a hen of Pete’s that was missing from the Coutances YB Classic last August. Looks like she’s probably been out all this time although not in bad condition. I will leave her to moult through now this season and see how she goes next year. A nice surprise. So I now have 3 of your 4 from last year in the yearling team Pete.

Watching “her” in the loft this evening I think she is probably a cock
Settled back in well though and seems pleased to be home. I see from the info you gave me that he is a full brother to 199, the cock I got last week and that won the Barcelona trophy last year.

Yes Andy he is nest mate to 199, I had him down as a hen when I sent them to you as 199 is a check like is sire and 200 is blue like his dam but 200 was also smaller than 199.

I’ll keep an eye on him/her over the next couple of days and try to take a photo of them both together. If anything I think 200 is slightly bigger than 199 now.

I would imagine he/she was probably still in France and has been brought over now that racing has started and birds are crossing the channel.
