Pigeon eyes appear to be an important factor from a lot of fanciers on whether or not it will be a good bird. As a novice ive started from 1 pair this year and even though the parents eyes are bright red/orange and each of the young have taken on both parents genes feather colour etc they have a completely different eye colour. I'm not bothered by this at all but I'm interested if anyone would have any thoughts on the reason for this ?. Thanks.
