ASKAMATE mentioned the 'chaos system' on another thread.

I felt empathy, that's how my loft operates 365 days of the year! :D

However, I suspect that it is a way of training a team of pigeons? I would appreciate some clarification.

If it is a system, it is, obviously, an oxymoron. :D

Murray

Phil tells me that a sort of widowhood. It enables you to race both the cocks and hens. The sexes are kept apart all week as you would with widowhood. During the week both cocks and hens have there own allotted exercise periods each day separately. On the day of marking they are all let together. As we usually mark during the morning I think Phil said he is going to let them together the previous evening, I will check. Then when it comes to basketing you just go into the loft and basket which ever ones you want to go, cocks or hens. On return they are left together until the following morning.

Sounds like an interesting system, I have to say if I ever decided to change from natural it would suit me more than traditional widowhood did. Look forward to hearing how it goes for Phil and wish him all the best with it.
