After much consideration during the day I have decided that the 3 birds we got back this weekend, who were also the first 3 from Guernsey and because of the Fourgeres race being cancelled are now going to be stopped for this year. They had 2 hard channel races in 6 days so have proved their worth for this year.

Here are photos taken this afternoon of these 3 birds.

Fantastic Andy. Now you can spend the winter planning and dreaming!

Ditto what everyone has said. They will really get the love of the loft once they've all had a youngster each. Would love some more pictures of these and the other youngsters once they've finished the molt Andy!

I think you've made the right decision. Andy as we said before there YB's and have all earned there perch, let them now have a good moult and get ready for there next adventure next year along with the others that you have. We all want to race every week but some times its hard not to enter them. Our 15 hens that did last weeks race in the CSCFC could have gone straight back to the NFC this week it took nothing out of them. But the moult is hitting some of them hard some even dropped flights while in the basket last week, so we know like you do when enough is enough so we have entered 10 hopefully we will find 10 good enough from the 15.
