Has anyone seen the format for the Ultimate North South Challenge race? It a YB race that uses a 'coefficent' instead of velocity so that both North and South birds race against each other on the same day?
Is this right? Has anyone any more information on this race and is it worth entering?
Thanks Bill

any race is worth a go if you think you have a winner

I've not seen this type of race format before, are 'coefficients' better than standard velocity?

Im sure Ive seen somewhere that a club/fed is racing this way but cant remember if I do ill post details, yes they are better in my opinion as it doesnt matter where you fly from there is no advantage or disadvantage

Has we all know the pigeons do not come in a straight line from the race point to everyones loft ; the idea behind Breaking point is too mark a dot on the map say about 10 miles or so; from most lofts etc ;where the birds "come together ";before breaking for home ;lets say the first race point is 70 miles to the dot ; then measure from the dot back to everyones lofts & then add together to get each of your measurements ;then divide by your arrival time to get your Velosity ; only problem is finding where to put the dot ; some fanciers like to put it too suit there selfs instead of being fairer to all ? cheers
