I wouldn’t get rid of any youngster in the nest unless really sick. Small youngsters will make up once weaned. Some of the youngsters I weaned were a bit on the thin side but all good now.

I’ve had really good small pigeons. Not my type but wouldn’t reject them because of size. The trouble is George you need really to know the family and background. Some families are just small and others slow to mature.

I never cull a pigeon because I think it is too small or too big. So long as they are healthy I will train them. Goes back to my jockey days. I rode one or two very good horses that would not have got a bid in an auction, but had good motors.
I won a race last year with a late bred mealy cock that was a weedy little thing. Broke away and won the race by several minutes.
Train everything. You never know which one is your next good one.

I can’t see anything much wrong with the George. Look better than some of mine did when I weaned them. They look clean and if they are being fed well they should be fine. How old are they?
