The New National bird will go to 3 top speed hens, i am sure there will be good middle distance birds from them. Fast middle distance will do very well.
Sounds ideal mate, I hope it works well 🀞😁
Is he hoping to get youngsters from them this year Dev ??
Yes mate, straight in and into action, needs to get things moving.

I’m not sure that crossing distance birds with sprinters works to get faster middle distance pigeons. I think you will just get a mixture of sprinters and distance birds. The trouble with this is that you won’t know which is which until tested. You may get the odd good middle distance one but not very many. Better to keep sprint with sprint and distance to distance. I would be much more inclined to see how my birds perform and pair the best sprinters to the best sprinters etc.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

Having said that New National 1 is more sprint to middle distance looking at the distances he has flown. Nothing much over 400 miles. So could go well with sprint pigeons.

Totally agree, Andy. The New National 1 appears to be a sprint. middle distance bird. I deal to cross into the sprinters.
Greetings from the land down under. :D

A new cock arrived yesterday at the loft, a very nice cock to enrich the blood in the loft. Bred from the Gert Heylen lines x De Meyer lines Top sprinting birds. I spoke about De Meyer a number of years ago. He would go to the club with his birds, at marking station. Then the flyers would be told where the race was from. So they could be flying North, South, East or west. This guy was a sprinting Champion.
