The babies arrived at about half 3 this afternoon, they all looked well enough. Before putting them in the loft I gave them some food and water in the box, 3 out of 5 did eat something and they soon emptied the water although I don't know how many drank it. I fed my birds then put the babies on the perches in the small section of the loft and watched them for a short while. Unfortunately they were soon off the perches and being chased all over the loft, as you know my birds are all in together so the babies just have to run the gauntlet and hopefully get away. The babies were having a bit of a torrid time so as they had already had enough upset and trauma over the past 24hrs I decided to put them in a basket over night with food and water, I'm sure they will be fine and will give them another try tomorrow, once they are managing to get up to the perches and out of harm's way I'll leave them in there.
