Can't say I am surprised.
The old days of belonging to a local club, which belonged to a federation, which belonged to a combine are gone.
There are fewer and fewer local clubs, and any sort of combine, or in your case national or International, racing is nigh on impossible unless you are wealthy and have time on your hands to do it.
It grinds down even the top blokes eventually.

Very Sad to see more top fliers leaving the sport, especially one who is still fairly young, if the likes of them have had enough what chance do the rest of us have 😕😟
As you say Murray the lack of Combines these days doesn't help as it makes racing more difficult and costly, yes there are the Nationals and Internationals but are just becoming available to the elite. Very sad indeed 😓

I had plenty of good birds that were bred by Mark and his Dad
Birds that they bred me won Clubs. Federations (with over 5,000 birds competing), Champion Pigeon of the Federation, RPRA Award winners etc
The bloodlines that I had from them then went on to breed winners to all levels including 1st National
For me, that kit of 40 that came into the UK in 1995 were as good a bunch of pigeons that have ever come into the UK.

George Blue 11 is a top cock in breeding wise, get him right and keep any youngsters bred.
