Life in Bealiba.

Since we have moved from Bendigo, and our current abode is in bustling Bealiba, I thought a guide to life in a small town in the bush might interest some.
It's an interesting place, it was a boom town in the 1850's during the gold rush 18000 people lived here. Now there's less than 200. There is a Post office /store, that's it.
I am going to poke around and dig into the history of the area and take some pictures.
I think we will enjoy our time here.

[attachment=0]53F86ED7-F8E3-47CD-9E33-9F987When we moved out into the bush, as the countryside is called here, I quietly bought 4 small babies in a box on the floor of the car. They were 11 or 12 days old.
I put them in a plastic tub and all the cocks have been feeding them.
I said nothing because people would immediately say they were too small to move.
They weren’t 😁

Yes they are. We have taken the view that the next 6 or 8 weeks will be a holiday in the country. I was worried about the pigeons, they have all been thrown together in a big shed.
But the pigeons are as happy as can be.
To keep things as normal as I can, I still go out at about 7.00 am, run the scraper over the perches while chatting to them, then feed them. I am so pleased that I have pigeons flying across the shed and sitting on me when I am in there.
