Well the operation went well, I went down just before 4, in recovery by half 5 and back in my room by 6. Had a nice ploughmans sandwich and coffee and was let go home about half 8. Didn't sleep great and am a bit sore this morning but it's much more comfortable than the hernia was
I can't do any heavy lifting for 4 weeks, can't drive for a week to 10 days but have to walk as much as I can. Bending is fine too as long as its comfortable and I don't strain so I will be able to feed the birds just no cleaning out for a couple of weeks which is fine, I did give the birds enough food and water for today and tomorrow before I went in yesterday so I won't go in the loft until the weekend
I've got plenty to keep me occupied so won't get bored
All the best
Preparation for my operation

good to hear Trev back in late 50s as a young lad had it done in hospital 2 weeks not allow to get out of bed
They can't wait to get you out these days mate, even when you pay for it lolGeorge and Morgan wrote: βThu Jan 04, 2024 1:12 pm good to hear Trev back in late 50s as a young lad had it done in hospital 2 weeks not allow to get out of bed
My Daughter has had two 'C' sections and they sent her home next day after both, even with a new baby to feed and the second time a 3 year old to look after too
Good to hear it went well, Trev. After a week or two of just pottering around with the pigeons they will be so tame they will be all over you!
Greetings from the land down under.
