I've not heard of it before either George, the only additive I've heard of that is blue is Copper Sulphate which we used as a foot bath for the cattle, I've heard since that this is also quite popular amongst poultry breeders due to its various health properties. It helps to aid digestion and prevent cocci.
To much though mate and you can kill the birds same as with that silver whatever it is forgot the last word
