A eye for Andy.

I like the richness of the red iris along with its openness and the height it appears to give. The violet circle of colouration is nice with plenty of waves in it. What I don’t like, certainly for breeding purposes, is the inner circle. Or more precisely the lack of it. The inner circle is almost nonexistent. Very narrow apart from at the back of the pupil, 5 to 9, where it is dark and spreads out into the circle of colouration. Not an eye that I would particularly want to be breeding from.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

Thank you Andy for your views, but this is where we differ. Myself i feel i would breed to the right partner off this bird, through generations of this family line. There has been champions, and with the thunder in this eye things will carry on with the right pairings. And this is what makes the sport good, we are all looking for something different.

It would want to be paired with one with a very good inner circle. One with no dark shading.

A nice pigeon. A better eye for breeding in my opinion. The inner circle is better in this one.
