I’ve mentioned this little hen before. She is a yearling that has taken a fancy to me and Roxanna. Although she is in the old bird loft with a couple of spare cocks she isn’t interested in pairing up and just follows us around the garden. Even once I come in she still tries to get to us.

The trouble is now is that Roxanna has named her, Polly, so probably won’t be allowed to race her. She was trained as a youngster.

This hen doesn’t get any better. She was quieter for a little while when paired, sitting and feeding, but since losing her cock a couple of weeks ago she just follows me everywhere again. There are a couple of spare cocks but she’s not interested in them at the moment. She’ll come down the garden and into the utility room. The other day she was walking down the hall. We can’t even get any peace when sat in our gazebo lol.

She is a funny one alright.
Still, I bet you would rather her be a nuisance than not be there. ;)

Brilliant Andy 😁 she is a sweet little thing and obviously a real character, I take it she won't be joining the race team 🤔😂
