Widowhood

I will probably start by doing what I used to do. This is the only time that I would feed barley in the form of depurative . Rather than think of it as a break down I see it as a maintenance fed early in the week when no excessive exertions are required. This is only used Saturday on return, both feeds Sunday and Monday morning. Then I would introduce the super widowhood which has a high proportion of maize Monday afternoon, but kept quite tight. Tuesday morning depurative, Tuesday afternoon super widowhood again not too much. Wednesday morning depurative then Wednesday evening super widowhood with a few bits added and given as much as they want. Thursday morning and afternoon super widowhood as much as they want. By Friday the cocks would be flying well and roaring like mad. I would feed the widowhood again as much as they wanted but by this time they wouldn’t actually eat much.
