Humidity and Pressure on Race days

I always record both in my notes on race days but don't know how either affects the birds while racing, if at all.
I was thinking that if the humidity inside the lofts affect them inside the loft (ref "salt" thread) would it affect them during racing.
Both are significant items on the weather forecast so must have some effect on the race.
- looks like I might have missed a few geography lessons at school too.

This is some I keep track of on LoftBuddy, hopefully over a few seasons of data will build a picture 🤣

Dave I think you over think many things. You CANNOT control the weather on race days. ALL you can do is get the AIRFLOW in your loft the best you can, to reduce humidity. If you can get a bird in the best condition you can when sending it to the race, the weather is what it is.
Fanciers who raced in the 70s & 80s raced in ALL weathers. Rain just produced a slower race.

Aah sorry guys I get a sense that you get fed up with me. Even I get fed up with the sound/site of my own voice on here.
My problem is I have a "thirst" for all things pigeon. I'm not always looking just for answers to questions but for reasons as well. Probably just the way I am wired.
Anyway, i appreciate all the help and advice from you fabulous lot.

Nobody's fed up with you Dave. Ask as many questions as you like. I'll always answer, and I'm sure others on here will also.

The thing about the temperature and humidity, or as we used to call it, the weather, :D is that every pigeon in that race faces the same conditions. It shows no favours to anyone. So after they've been put in the transporter it's out of our control.
This is different from the loft at home. This is where we can do quite a bit to control the environment and influence the form of the birds. Screes have been written about the importance of ventilation, humidity, temperature etc in the loft. Some of it does seem to be clutching at straws a little bit but it is at least something that we have some control over.
