Another good day.

My club, the Bendigo Invitation has agreed to transport with the other club, the Bendigo City on alternate weeks. Last week the other club were carrying them and unfortunately had a break down on route which resulted in the race being cancelled.
So today they flew two races from Coombah, about 300 miles.
My mate David Cox sent 4 of mine, 2 to each race.
In the first race his first two were mine, and he won that race :D
In the second race his first one was mine too, and he won that as well. :D
Pretty good for late breds that were almost too young to put into training, I thought.
That is a very nice finish to what has been a very good season.

Thanks guys,
My pigeons have done amazingly well this year, and I'm very pleased. And it's all down to the pigeons. All I do is feed them and clean them and pat them on the head. :D
As old Ad Schaerlaeckens says, he believes in one thing only. Good pigeons.
I think he's right.

The pigeon that won the first race yesterday is out of a blue bar pied hen that David Cox gave to Devo when he visited us last year. Very well bred she is, Red Blaze Van Den Buck on the father's side, Eijerkamp and Maselli Jansen on the Mother's side.

She is paired to 580 Iechy Da, who is a brother of Free Beer and all sorts of good pigeons including the one which was third in the Ballarat Breeders plate the other week. 580 won a race and now he's sired a winner and he's still only young.

Selection is the key, you can visit a loft. There could be over a hundred youngsters in the shed, you observe and select.

If Leon comes on the site, he will also tell members. About a pick at his loft, very nice hen indeed.
