So this is something that isn't science the science simply says that a bird with zero white feathers and all white nails carries pied and that's where it stops! however from my experience a bird with all white nails on a blue body and zero white feather are special breeders! I've only had 2 in my career and both was exceptional breeders coincidental? Possibly but when you see this also happening to elite bloodlines in there creating a family of high quality and they point back to the foundation breeder with exactly those traits you see a theme, also birds with these characteristics will often sell privately for exceptional sums between fanciers on the continent, has anyone ever had a bird with all white nails without white feathers? If so how successful was it for you?

I have been at the marking station, waiting for the wagon to come for the birds. Topics like this was always brought up, and to be honest i have never seen many wwhite nails. Only a few but what you are saying Danny, i was only told a chick with white nails will be a very good breeder.

@murray is the laugh because you had one and it was bad? Not had one but put no meaning to it overall? feedback in words is more interesting Murray, although I did laugh at these opinions till finally having one and seeing it seemed to have merit then been told by people I respect with outstanding families they have created saying the same, then getting a second one 4 years ago and seeing the same results again made me really have belief there is something special going on genetically with this characteristic

From a fairly good fancier, Ad Schaerlaeckens.
Fooled
I got another e-mail from a Romanian who feels hugely caught by a Dutchman. A few years ago, fans from there were very impressed by a video of the Dutchman showing off with 'fantastic' Aardens.
But... ‘Then (his words) you had to have them with white nails.’ They are quite rare, but he had them and you could buy them from him.
It just didn't stop. In that video he kept insisting on the quality of those pigeons, provided they had those white nails.
The Romanians were deeply impressed, bought pigeons with white nails from the Dutchman in question, but as soon as they received the pigeons there was already the first disappointment.
They had never seen such rubbish before. But there were more ugly good ones so they gave it a try. Now those fanciers with their white-toed pigeons are a few years further. They used to be able to win a simple prize before, but with these birds they don't get the results at all.
What they call the Dutchman (who claims that they know all over the world how good his pigeons are), I will not tell.
Of course, a person can have bad luck with purchased pigeons. Even the best pigeons also give rubbish, but bragging about 'those white toeed pigeons?' That's called exploiting the naivety of well-meaning ignorant people, especially beginners. I have one word for it: Disgusting.

@murray interesting I never knew of anyone who had pushed them or had enough to be able to sell an abundance of them, was they all not carrying white feathers? Or just had white nails? We see lots with white nails but they always have white feather, you never see them with no white feathers and all white nails hardly so to have multiple I'd be very surprised, I've only produced 2 in my career and I've dealt with thousands of birds

Danny, I didn't write it, I just read it.
Ad is one of the best racers in the world over the last half century. When he says things one does well to take notice.
But of course 99% of us are not about to have our opinions changed by some Dutchman.
