Racing season coming to an end, another year out of the way. So what preparation will you be doing around the loft? there is so much to do in preparing for the winter months. Which will include breeding, so what are your plans?

Lots of cleaning out sections, birds now moved to our section with aviary to relax and moult, then we start getting sections ready for the breeding programme to come lots of work but more relaxed atmosphere no crazy basketing twice a day and travelling loads thankfully, and we all love the pairing and breeding season for me it's the best part of my job!

Yes Danny, after the racing season. Things must slow down for you, but there is is still plenty to do. Then there is the planning ahead, I hope you get the time to do some loft visits. To help plan ahead with your future breeding.

@devo got visits booked with 4 so far so very much looking forward to it mate, hopefully can get what I'm wanting but as we know in this game it depends what they want financially! and I don't get to decide if we will spend it but hopefully I've been heard I do believe if we buy from 2 of them this year i will be vindicated very quickly! They been picked from 2 years of watching them, definitely a lot calmer now I've not got road work and race prep but still 10hr days but weekends off now

So true Danny, if you want the best. You have to pay the price, and that can be a tidy sum. Just enjoy your trip, and bring back the goods. Keep planning for the future, because it will soon be here. Good luck mate.

Employ 10 people across 3 sites 3 separate business partners are in a collective deal not technically classed as a stud in the traditional sense racing is the passion of the partners and bird sales just helps them fund it, they don't breed for profit in the traditional stud model

But it's run as a business isn't it Danny. You do make a profit though? You can't tell me you breed and make a loss? Lot's of studs race, so why is yours not technically classed as a stud?

@king a stud to me is where they just breed for profit and numbers, our owners don't run it as a business for profit it's about the racing for them the sales just offset the costs, they have separate businesses
