Usually lasts around ten days with no intervention, make sure drinkers are getting disinfected regular and use chloramphenicol eye drops for relief and speed up sunlight reaction

I agree with what Danny says.

a common eye and upper respiratory inflammation. Key features include swollen or dry eyelids, squinting or avoiding light, and frequent scratching at the eye.

so if it clears does it lie dormant so they are carrier's & then it starts all over again. Plenty of feedback from fancier's have said it's more rife this year, people sending that haven't detected it or haven't a clue in the early stages which then cause the spread in the baskets as well as ybs.

They very rarely get it twice from our experience, it goes through the system and clears! herpes is given as a cause but it's microplasma based virus majority of the time imo it's bacteria based and isn't something we get regular or have any major issues with, drinkers be vigilant with cleaning my best tip good husbandry avoids most issues 👍

A fair bit in our club. Generally seems to clear in a couple of days with no treatment and no ill effect on the birds.
