There are some nice racing feeds, some we may not have thought of. So what type of food do you feed your birds, for them to show their true ability?

I don't think you could race competitively on that, especially after 250 miles.

I have to say, reading through this guide on different feeds. If i was to race birds again, I would try this system of feeding. To me it all about the right balance of intake at the right times, but that is just my thoughts.

It's not what you feed, it's what you are feeding it too.
Top fanciers are top fanciers because they have good birds, it's not because they are feeding a special brand of corn.
You could get the best fanciers in the World and find they all feed different. Nearly ALL pigeons feeds are good, fanciers even win with corn straight from the Farm, which is the SAME corn you but from the big companies, only different is the corn is cheaper and doesn't have a nice picture of a pigeon on the bag.
Don't be fooled into thinking good corn is the most expensive.
I used to feed any brand when I raced, none was better than the other, when sprinting and working shifts I hopper fed tic beans and won when the club had 50 members. I now feed Bamfords multitask & Bamfords Breeding Supreme. (many in my area race on these mixes) Simply because they are good mixes and a lot cheaper than many of the fancy mixes

You raise good points King, everyone as a budget in the sport. Now i can only speak for myself, and i do like this feed. Yes it does have nice bright photos, but its not about that to me. When you walk around Blackpool show, all the different brands are there to be seen. And yes they do all say that their feeds are best. So i would rather go with my own thoughts, and i do like the balance of this type of system. But like i say, these are my thoughts, thank you for your reply. This is what we need on the site, other members thoughts and views.

Well said King and very true. The feeding is all hype and a way to make money for the corn companies. Make little difference what you feed.
