I always used a high diet feed, with high protein and amino acids. Can be a very streesful time for the birds, a calm environment also helps. Others may differ.

In the 50+ years I've had pigeons I've never bought anything to help the moult. Just feed as normal.

Once their season of racing is over, do you still loft fly the birds or is it just rest and recover for the old birds now

Atleast over here once racing season is over so in 2 weeks you wont see a single Old bird in the air anymore

In my opinion only important thing during moulting is amino acids and 1-2 baths a week. Now those amino acids can come either through supplements or through your feeding mixture.

My widowhood cocks will be allowed their hens and allowed to rear either a pair of late breds or a single one. Just feeding them on what’s left over from the racing season. No treatments given in my loft, I don’t even use grit or minerals in the loft at any time of year.
