Thinking in a few years want fly distance what pigeons would you suggest these days ?

If i was to race long distance id probaly go with jelle jelema, jan aarden, Koopman's red devil line. Theres a few more i would look into but this also depends on if we are talking 1 day long distance or even further But i would probaly look more into the older bloodlines like jan aarden or stichelbaut because i feel like they are a bit more resistant. Arie dijkstra is also a fancier i like when it comes to these one day long distance races

Decide what distance you want to fly. Then study National results from the longer fliers that clock regularly. And look for a fancier who does well with a small team. Don't get hung up over any particular strain/family.

The problem with those "famous" names Leon is that the blood is likely to have been diluted especially so here in England. Not saying all of them but if I was you Chris, I'd start looking at the results of these national and international races to see what birds are doing it and for whom.
You can follow the international races on pipa which is a lot of fun when you have birds in the race. They have a map (radar) which plots every single timer from all of the countries competing as and when each one is clocked so you can literally see the race unfold.
