Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

Going back over the years, there have been some great racing clocks. which one did you use when you first started racing?

My first clock was an STB. I was chief clock setter in our club at Worthing back in the 1980s and still do the clocks now.
In the early days I set: STB, (silver & red) BENZING, (various types) SKY MASTER, TOULET, TOULET SUPER, PALOMA, and JUNIORS. Then more recently the T3. Now it’s nearly all ETS. We do have one member still using a T3. But everyone else is using ETS. In our club we have members using: Unicon, Bricon, Ipigeon and Benzing. I myself have this year started using the new Bricon PAS live system.

When we started my lad with the birds someone gave him a toilet which had been converted from the manual wind-up version to being battery operated.
Technology at its best in those days 😆

My first clock I used was a TOULET SUPER. The first time i ever clocked in I was 3rd & 5th in my first ever race. a YB race from Grantham in 1975.
For my second season I bought a new STB for £86 in 1976. I bought a 2nd new STB in 1981 for £96, I still have both STB's.

I have racked my brains trying to think of a way to re-cycle all the old clocks to turn them into something else. (Useful or decorative)
It seems such a shame to leave all that workmanship in
the back of a cupboard doing nothing but gathering dust....

there is a bloke with a shop who turns old stuff into all kinds of things, clocks, radios and lights etc maybe he could do something with them, sure his place is Stoke or that way
Sadies Lofts home of decent birds just a useless loft manager, and now a confirmed loser but proud :D :D

If your not racing y birds this year Tony, I would wait til the end of the season. I think there will be quite a few on social media.
Meanwhile, I will keep an eye out for any bargains around my area for you.
