Hi all
When looking to join a club or a local club I need to be with in their Radius I believe
Do all clubs have a different Radius or are the all the same
As I have found out I am between 4 clubs but its down to the Radius from the club to my (what would be ) new Loft
Any help with this if clubs are saying your out of the Radius ......

Some use a radius in miles
Others use roads
Some use postcodes
You would have to ask the individual club if your out of them not much you can do but I very much doubt your be out of all 4
Clubs radius are larger now due to the lack of pigeon fanciers these days
Thanks Neil, though a friend of a friend I have an address of a pigeon man who still races In Netherley which again is only 2 to 3 miles from me so I'm looking at calling to see him on Saturday to pick hi brains on a few things over clubs and contact details for me to speak with people.
I also have the contact details for the Sec in Halewood so I can ring him to so things are starting to move forward a little now

That's how draft this can become maybe because someone is good at what they do with the pigeons & successful, members of that club vote to refuse there application to become a member, that shouldn't be allowed with falling membership nobody should be refused.

Whilst I agree that a 'Good' flyer should not be refused entry to club if he is in the clubs radius, I still believe a club should have the right to refuse any fancier if he's a undesirable. I'm met a few fanciers over the years who ruined every club they joined. I one of those was a women.

In my old club King yes I think on 1 occasion that a person was refused because as you said a nown trouble maker or had default on payment.
But never stopped anyone from joining in the 10 year I was a member that had applied to join.

good one Anthony, it'll be hard enough joining one club I think with the radius / post code thing but I'll be asking all Four and see what happens

That's good to know as I didn't think the could refuse people really, as I say am very very new so hopefully that will go in my favour to get in the club. I didn't thing they had to vote thought you just applied to join.

Yes I can understand that you get refused if you have bad history in the sport that's there own fault King.

I think in time clubs will be marking stations
Feds will be like a club
Just section it off and if you in the fed radius your in
It’s not really worth winning clubs now
Lucky to get 7/8
Feds are going the same way mines getting pointless
48 sending 4 years ago about 27 now even less the end of yb season
I didn,t think the clubs where that low on members Neil, is that the same across the country
