I sent 4 ybs up to Alan Parker in Lancashire here's the first update from them

And you wonder why so many fancier's have had enough & packing in.
RPRA total waste of time all the money spent out over the year's & they've never got anywhere with trying to tackle this problem.
I've had 1 yb attacked by a sparrowhawk haven't seen the yb for over 4 day's so I think that's gone & my obs are virtually all gone makes me wonder why I bother.

Years ago you could judge a poor performing pigeon on its continuous lateness.
Nowadays that can't be the case, alot of birds that are late have gone to ground after Percy attacks.
I don't believe that the leading birds don't get hit either, it's pot luck what batch the falcons hit.
Such sad times for our beloved birds.
Over the weekend some clown from the rspb was saying that feral pigeons and parakeets were the main food source for a pair of Peregrine's in London.
I wonder why they just don't say pigeons .
In their eyes the falcons are beautiful birds, in our eyes so are our pigeons.

Poor birds I know it goes on but it's really bad that nothing can be done to help the racing pigeons
hopefully the rest of your race season will be injury free for both of you and your birds

Didn't you change the route you was on last year Dave.....

Didn't you change the route you was on last year Dave.....

Hello Dave, last year down the leg into Cornwall this season it's East to West.
I think it doesn't make any difference Dave whichever direction you try to build a team to progress, they are definitely going to get hit on route back wether your training or racing. Most of the few I sent on as trainers 36 mls were yearlings, with a couple of 2 year olds.what I would say is that the temp was 18 degrees so not cold, i haven't got any answers it's like I've thrown them away.

I don't have that information sorry Albert, I haven't spoken to Clive who runs the trainer's on a Wednesday.
From my point of view wether they got hit on route back or just after liberation to me they haven't put the effort in to get back.
How I look at it is stand up & be counted or take the easy option which is stand down & they chose the later. I've not had any reported or seen a feather since & I don't think that's going to change my thinking .
