As some may or may not know I do like to have a go at 1or 2 one loft race, sent 6 to Derby Chipiona last autumn, final race today 515km and we win 4th Uk 18th open plus 2000 euro so happy (ish).

Brilliant Steve, well done - not heard of that one.
Are they classed as yearlings? Seems like it must be a different set up than the British OLR - Sending them in Autumn and racing in March... can you tell us a bit more.....

Hi Dave I sent them last August, and they start training them in January so we’d call them latebred. We sent 6 and 3 of them are back from the 515km final, however the one that was most consistent throughout is missing. That’s pigeons I guess.

A little bit of what you fancy does you good - well done Steve

Can you tell me its breeding please?
Yeah no problem. A few years back me and my Friend Luc brought a youngster off F&J Vanderheede’s Miracle Ace ( 1st National Ace Pigeon KBDB long distance) then when Luc’s dad died he had to stop with the pigeons and went to Marc De Cocks as loft manage, Paine (the son from miracle Ace came to me) that year 2017 Marc won 1st Nat Ace KBDB all round with a pigeon called Rockerfelle. In 2020 Rockefelle was paired to a pigeon called Adele ( 2nd National Ace Pigeon KBDB all round) from Kurt Platteeuw and I had a daughter sent over. Yesterday’s bird was a double grandchild from Paine once paired to the daughter of Adele x Rockefelle and once paired to a daughter of a pigeon from Marc called new eagle eye. Paine had already bred us 4th place in the final at Derby arona plus several club/Fed winners for me.

Yes that would be interesting
Also Steve do you have a few pairs breeding for one loft races solely or do you send the same as in your team
Hi Neil no I just send them off whatever I’ve got at the time I think will be ok. We had 1st UK 5th Thailand masters semifinal a couple of years back and that was bred off a couple of yearlings
