As you've said Neil difficult when the forum isn't active with the same people posting all the time, maybe some just look in & that's it without the need to login or post. Is it the time of year with breeding going on maybe it will pick-up in April when racing gets underway.

As a novice it's difficult to join in sometimes as I feel I have no authority on any subject. There are so many people far more knowledgeable than myself so I'm definitely more in the reading category!

Clever title Neil. I know what you mean.
I usually check in once or twice a day and am disappointed when there is nothing new to read.
I too feel a bit like Winfort and Ive been keeping the birds for a few years now.
I fear it might get worse come racing as everyones thoughts will be elsewhere.
Wont get new members if the site is dead. Needs All members to make a concious effort to contribute.
I thought Mikes idea was brilliant and would be great to keep things going.
Must be lots of other ideas around to add interest. Lets get the thinking caps on.

It’s not easy
People seem to love Facebook I prefer this site rather than having to constantly see people looking for attention for buying a pigeon
I don't do Facebook f+k that I take a look on here or call a friend, couldn't care less what people are eating n all that bo++ox ,
Alot that seek attention on there n tiktok live in a dream land with pigeons.

We was all novices once ,I broke my novice first yb race n won my first ob race but it was in a club where there was few good flyers ,,I was a new starter in the Bromley club at same time this had the best flyers from Croydon to the Thames in this club these top lads really showed me the way I couldn't beat them 6ypm 30 positions gone it was here really where I paid my dues n wore baby shoes for 3 seasons,,looking back at it ,,all though it was super tough it made me that flyer I learned to lose learned the hard way no one felt sorry because u was new starter think they all paid there dues n wore baby shoes ,,
My advice never fill sorry for a novice but put a arm out n offer help if needed, if they want to quit they was always going to quit ,,winners try harder ,quiters look for a excuse not to do it.
