Is it a vaccine or simply an antibiotic?

If it's a vaccine it won't stop them catching it. It might help them get over it though?NeilA wrote: Wed Feb 11, 2026 7:22 pm What’s people thoughts on this vaccine
Would it prevent catching respo issues from other birds in the crates
That’s what I thought not a vaccine, I’ve a mate in Belgium that used one for a season and reckoned the birds had never flown so bad, whether it was the product or not who knows but he’s convinced it ruined the pigeons.NeilA wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 5:19 am Looking a bit more into they seem to contain doxycycline and various other antibiotics
I know people often give them something along them lines on a Thursday but I thought that wax to suppress any Respo mild issues so I don’t understand how they prevent Respo but I would be interested in others views
A course of Lincospectin is as good as anything.NeilA wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 7:20 am Cheers Steve
Not worth the risk
I fear things like respo but I think I will leave that alone
They changed the ingredients of koudjs now mate its OK but nothing like the original one shameMIke Lycett wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 10:07 am I'm not a fan of the vaccine Neil
2 products I am a fan of are Nasaline and Koudijs
Now Koudijs is labelled as a fungal treatment, but I'm sure it can only address respiratory issues in a favourable way too
