My racers don't rear
They been together nearly 2 weeks now another 10 days and every split up old cocks ain't paired they don't see a hen until 1st marking night, once split up there be fasted 2 days only grit given and 1 day epsom salts in water ,
Once this is done exercise will start but every 2nd day normally 7 to 10 loft flys there doing 1 hour of zippy flying no landing is allowed here it's only exercise,,once I see them going well on nice days birds will get a toss if warm a further toss if cold no more than 8 miles ,
Birds stay on barley until Monday before first race then they go on feed system once racing starts and how busy I am will depend on how I feed in season if exercise is reduced feed intake is as well if I'm working birds hard then feed is more everything done to work around me iv won with birds going out 2xaday iv won with 3 loft flys between racing so there's nothing to worry about really,
Depending on first race will determine if there tossed again or not before big races I like a toss in totally wrong direction but some times u drop a good bird ,only for the brave these tosses ,
Yearlings get to spend 1 night per week with partner leading up to first race but older birds don't get this privilege.
