I've resigned from my old club that raced into Cornwall last year but this season are going East to West, one club wanted to still fly the Cornwall route so have resigned & are going with a different Federation, so that's a lose of about 600 pigeons a week from them.
I've decided to join another club that races on a Sunday going out along the south coast route, also organising a Wednesday trainer each week throughout the season, that will probably be a better option for me .
All local members not being pulled over a large radius so coming back into my area, basket the day before weather permitting but may change if the weather forecast isn't good for race day, I'm retired so it sounds a better proposition all along for me, that's for ob & yb racing .

If Im right Dave, that means you will be flying the same route as last season so at least your old birds will have a bit of consistency.

Yes I hope so, I think it got a bit political the main player's didn't get there way for once so they've gone with another Fed.
The marking is done up my local corn shop & he's got a new Geraldy trailer so looks all good & the birdage cost is good .
Yes Dave same as last year along the south coast & we won't be going to Brighton which is terrible for peregrines, my old Combine have still put it in in there program for this season, if I had stayed with them I probably wouldn't of sent because of this.

I think with most liberation site's today peregrines have targeted or set up within striking range. As with a lot of site's Brighton, Mangotsfield, Bath, Yeovil, Portland the list is endless that's just a few but you can see the problem we are all faced with.

Since the RSPB and others started providing peregrines with nesting sites on buildings the problem has increased exponentially
The peregrine historically been a bird of cliff and crag and no one can deny them the right to exist in their historic environment the problem is exacerbated by foolish people encouraging them to come into the built environment unfortunately the problem will only increase whilst ever these people carry on.
I can’t see an answer to this we must learn to put up with it I’m afraid
