I used to use a small solar panel, and a car battery for my lights, but no longer do so.

On the other hand my brother uses the solar panel to run his etc clock.

you need a old diesel car battery their best hold more power and a panel and regulator is a must to stop over charging and a strip of 12v leds small switch and wires then it's straight forward find a place to situate it all
https://ebay.us/m/3pILRR
something like that get battery from scrapyard
https://ebay.us/m/GaZNJN
2/3 them plus some wire from screw fix or similar and a switch and job sorted
