If sourced from a reputable supplier there’s not much in them apart from white/ green are a lot cheaper than maples

Never been a fan of hopper feeding apart from at Breeding, it’s easy enough to stiffen the feed as the workload increases

I my have stopped buying maples, the quality is not the same as those in the 70s/80s. Green are too expensive, so white or blue peas for me.

According to Richard Wade it has to be this year's crop not old beans, races consistently on this .

Yes agree
My issue is I have one section some will be 400 miles some 100
So wanted to feed my normal system but give them a top up if there recovering etc
Currently I’m testing it beans 24/7 at 9am today there was no more than 3 beans in any crop
I then put down 3/4 ounce of mix and they cleared it so I’m thinking they only take what beans there body requires
Last weekend the same
Ever thought of using protien like I do
I use lamb colostrum replacer 79 percent protein plus everything in it to safe a lambs life ,1 teaspoon on food after tough race n birds look brand new next morning zero stress on crop or organs breaking everything down when there body is exhausted plus after a tough race a bird will eat maize before a pea and i think they know more than us .

Pigeons are like people, they have preferences. I advised a chap not to hopper feed a mix and sure enough when he stated the birds had thrown what they didn’t like all over the floor.
The beauty of feeding in pots in their boxes is that you can feed the birds to suit the work in front of them

But I would like to feed high carb like Gerry or Gaby AM and PM with my fats
So similar but not exactly the same
I think I posted that one Neil that's the one I was gonna follow and then bottled it. I love the simplistic approach but my mind just won't let me away it unfortunately

Do you put any oil on the food to get the power to stick?
