Iv got new birds this Yr 15 pair of birds bred by Kevin lawson there in stock aviary
And I fetched in 10 yb dirk marien from kappelle in belgium my pal in Ireland has over 20 direct pairs from dirk and first time in long time very happy with these baby's,,
Dirk flys unbelievable on East winds and last 5 years been many times the fastest out whole liberation from quivrien and noyon.

No idea what I will be bringing in. Do I check my results next season and then bring in new blood from that line? April feels years away haha. But I’ve plenty to do between now and then so not a bad thing.

Spring looks a long way off though I agree with that

All worth it once race season is back up and running mate. What’s your routine this time of year is it just feed and clean or do they still get out depending on weather?

I've brought in 3 pairs of sprint based pigeons for this year for breeding.
Only racing inland, not sure which route we will be flying it should be down into Cornwall again with the old birds but this rule could be changed.So have sorted out my pigeons this year, all my distance pigeons have gone I gave Diamond Dave a pair that fits in with his plans as he has similar lines .
Most of the stock pigeons that had a question mark over them from breeding poor quality ybs have gone, I've started to be stricter on selecting what stay & what goes, I'm going down the route of keeping younger stock from now on, so anything that doesn't look right or has a question mark will be out, got to be proactive with this in future.
Mine haven't been out for 2 weeks, had sparrowhawk trying to come in the loft as I was coming out so have kept them in while in the moult.
On a moulting mix & barley 50/50.

Here the racers are cleaned 2x aday all winter ,feed 2x aday ,stock are in aviary 18 inches of ground so there cleaned once a week but fed 2x aday .
