money makes it much much easier

Mark Gilbert is a consummate pigeon racer/breeder. He has the advantage of being able to afford to spend what ne needs to in achieving what he wants.
People with the same finances but without his ability would not achieve what he has done.

I think it's a bit of both. The further you send pigeons the less likely you are to get a bird you don't fancy. Many sprint fanciers send large teams (mainly because they don't know what their first bird will be) and most distance fanciers send small teams, because most know what their first bird will be.. Mark has shown he can send one just ONE bird and win at the distance, but he hasn't done that inland (has he?)
And I know it's not that simple to explain, but you get the gist of it.

There's lots of multi millionaire pigeon racers none race like Mark gilbert he might have a big team but no one in this world races like him at all distances I don't know the man but my opinion the best were ever see at top level

Yes mark does have a formidable team to fall back on but it still doesn’t stop him from winning when he’s sending less birds than the others in some races
