I am still "testing" my stock birds thro the youngsters, yearlings and 2 yo.
I have had much the same stock birds for the last 5/6 years.
For the first 2 years I had nothing of any note, but by changing the pairings and adding just 1 or 2 additional birds, I believe I have found some terrific combinations that are now producing the goods.
They are still under scrutiny of course and next year I will change some of them again to see if I can improve the progeny even more.

Only the race basket really tells the truth ,a pedigree is as honest as the man that wrote it and paper don't refuse ink ,
Only this Yr I bred a bird from a top hen of mine this hen as scored in first 20mnfc first 5 of bbc n bicc won norfolk suffolk championship club won 4 other races plus other cards I crossed her with a pigeon that was bred super but not raced any way the son come way late from race rested n trained put out few weeks later on a come bk race come a week after same again rested and waited until he was flying the sky's out sent again to another short race returned a week later ,,he is now gone and he's sire ,bred absolutely beautiful handled right but useless now I could buy a pigeon in well bred like him and breed absolute rubbish so for me the basket never lies and is a fanciers best friend.

Another thing when buying birds is two buy what will suit your location and the racing you be doing
Iv tried top corridor winners here where I live and they just go down like snow flakes ,,
So definitely purchase what you need a top bird flying to a fed 10 miles long 5 miles wide won't be much use two a flyer that's fee is 100 miles long 100 miles wide .
