Many times throughout the day, after daily loft tasks. I would then spend time observing my birds, looking at the way their interaction with each other. It soon become clear which bird was to become the leader of the loft. watching the way they were feeding. You could see a pattern in first birds to the feed, the ones that waited for the rush to be over. Also the ones that just found a place to relax. but this can change in different seasons.
