For me the most important aspect is how well and how fast the pigeon can recover after its exertion racing

The faster and more complete the reovery, the sooner and better prepared you are for the week ahead

I've found nothing superior to this https://pigeonvitality.com/product/rebuild-powder/

I have only given tollisan forte on return

I guess forte is amino acids

I've used Gemthepax for over 20 years. Not racing now but still use it.

There's not a week went by when I never used it

Mixing onto the feed makes it more economical and they get the full benefit ;)

Do you make into a paste to mix it on as powder

Add the Gem straight onto the feed mate, then I applied any one of a number of powders to act as a drying agent

You could use "Improver" or "Strike" or any other powder of your choice

Alternatively just leave it to dry itself in its own good time - but I tended to powder it too

I didn’t know improver could go on the grub
