Hope it goes your way mateAndy wrote: Sun Nov 17, 2024 6:44 pm So we had a meeting today to discuss the propositions for the combine AGM. As a club we voted to fly down the leg, down into the West Country. The first race would be Exeter 54 miles for me. Then Okehampton at 72 miles with Sennen Cove which is 159 miles. Much better for me than East to West. Will just have to see which way the combine vote now.
We have also put in our application to join the 3 counties. We flew with them last year but only as trainers. Their AGM is next weekend.
Our AGM won’t be for a while yet but we have already received 3 applications to join our club. That will put us up to 18 flying members. We did have one member die but he hasn’t raced for a few years now anyway.
Isn't racing North an option?Andy wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 6:17 pm So the WOESRC had their AGM today. This was the result of the proposed rule changes.
Propositions -
The number of birds per crate cocks & hens will be 13 for both OB and YB - All in favour
OB & YB,s may be entered as trainers in any race, basketed separately - All in favour
The OB programme will being the same direction as YB programme flown previous year - All in favour except GFC
Race Programme
OB will be East to West starting 19th April 25 (as per rule above being passed)
So only YB voted on
YB will be SW starting 26th July 25 - 14 for 7 against (caused some controversy)
This means that the longest old bird race for us would be Eastbourne 118 miles to me for 1 race all the rest at under 100 miles and 7 races at 34 miles. Can’t see many of our club flying with the combine. I will probably leave the combine and just race with the 3 counties.
